A large, broadly-crowned pine, tolerant of dry and coastal sites. It is extremely rare and endangered at home in the USA, being the rarest pine in North America. Has large, sweet, edible pine nut seeds that fall to the ground, and long silvery green needles. Evergreen. Hardy.
