A ‘living fossil’ from China. Beautiful rich green foliage which turns pink, gold and reddish-brown in autumn. Beautiful red-brown bark darkens with age. Requires a sheltered, moist, fertile site and grows rapidly in these conditions. Will grow in standing water. Deciduous. Cold hardy.
