A large, attractive tree with a spreading crown and white flowers in summer, sometimes tinged yellow or red. Large, green palmate leaves. Produces large conkers. Brilliant yellow autumn colour. Lower branching than A. hippocastanum, making it more suitable for shelter. Deciduous. Hardy.
