Cherries

Prunus avium – The first of the summer fruits. They can grow to fairly large trees but can be trained or espaliered. Grown best in areas with long cool winters, warm summers and low rainfalls during flowering (spring) and fruiting (early summer). Some are self-fertile, but all will bear more fruit if planted with another variety.
